Questions
How do grade thresholds work?
Cambridge sets a minimum mark for each grade. If your mark meets a threshold you get that grade, and one mark below it gives the grade beneath. Below the E threshold the result is U.
Why do thresholds change every series?
Each exam series has its own papers, and some papers are harder than others. Cambridge sets the thresholds after marking so that a grade means the same standard every time, so the same mark can earn a different grade in June and November.
